The governor of Sevastopol reported seven downed drones

The air defense forces and the Black Sea Fleet shot down seven drones near Sevastopol, Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said in his telegram channel.

He noted that all the drones were shot down over the sea, no objects in the city and its waters were damaged.

«Ukrainian Tsipsoshniki are trying to pass off this failed attack as another «help ». They write that there are explosions in the city and ask to throw off their confirmations. We confirm— no one will throw anything to you, everything is calm in the hero city—,— wrote Razvozhaev.

The head of Sevastopol announced the destruction of one drone at night. Later, one drone was destroyed in the direction of the Belbek airfield. At 11:55 Moscow time, Razvozhaev announced three downed UAVs. According to the telegram channel «State of emergency| Sevastopol, the sounds of the explosion were heard in different parts of the city. They also published photos showing a trace in the sky, appearing, in particular, after the work of the air defense.

In January, the air defense system worked over Sevastopol several times already. On January 10, it was connected with the training of the military. On January 7, a drone was shot down over the Northern Pier, on January 4, two drones were destroyed in the Belbek area, on January 2, so much above the sea.

The city was repeatedly attacked last year. One of the most large-scale occurred on October 29, ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian ships were subjected to it. Nine drones and seven autonomous marine drones were involved in the attack, and naval weapons and naval aviation were used to destroy them. A boom and one vessel were damaged.

After the attack that occurred on the Day of the Russian Navy on July 31, a yellow danger level was introduced in the city, which was repeatedly extended. In addition, since October 19, a “medium response” regime has been in effect in Sevastopol and seven other border regions. It provides for strengthening the protection of public order, a special mode of operation of state facilities, communication facilities, transport and printing houses, restrictions on the entry and exit of people, as well as vehicle inspections.
