The authorities of the Zaporozhye region “do not touch” residents who are waiting for the arrival of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Acting Governor Yevgeny Balitsky told the TV channel “Crimea 24”.
«Zhdun— is a weak person, <...> condemn him for thinking or believing in a return to the past, where he had the opportunity to earn somewhere on a budget, where he could steal and nothing would happen to him for it <...>. We don’t touch them, we give them time to think,” the official said.
But if a person participates in “extremist events”: “writes nasty things in social networks, “insults the commander-in-chief” or the Russian Armed Forces, the flag and other symbols,” and does not respond to the first warning, then it is applied to himthe measure of expulsion”. Before being evicted from the region to Ukraine, such citizens dig trenches for two weeks.
Those residents who knew that their family members were engaged in “extremist activities” are also leaving the region. “This is a category of people who indirectly participated in the murder, the demolition of bridges and power lines. This information was not reported— and therefore became accomplices»,— Balitsky said.
Zaporozhye region became part of Russia after the referendum, which was held at the end of September. On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an accession agreement with Balitsky. On the same day, the Kherson Region, the DPR and the LPR were included in the Russian Federation.
The administrative center of the Zaporozhye region, the city of Zaporozhye, is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Melitopol has been declared the temporary capital of the region within Russia.
