Vladimir Putin urged “not to hide behind formalities and standard bureaucratic procedures” when the authorities work in their own conditions. He stated this during a meeting of the coordination council for ensuring the needs of the troops.

According to the president, it is not enough to follow the beaten path and interact with a narrow circle of familiar manufacturers. As Putin noted, the equipment used by the Russian military should be modern, convenient and effective. At the same time, manufacturers of special tools and other equipment for the participants of the SVO should receive feedback and understand how the work of factories and design bureaus affects real life.

“And a clear concrete work plan should be defined for each direction,” the head of state said.

According to Putin, it is also impossible to proceed from the previously established standards in the issue of security. “They were created at unknown times and in completely different conditions, so I draw your attention: the standards are the standards, but you need to either change them or adapt them without any violation of the law,” he explained.

Putin also demanded that the authorities work at a faster pace in all directions and realistically assess the situation. “This concerns not only the special military operation itself, it concerns all our work in almost all areas,” the president added.

Putin signed a decree on the creation of the coordination council for special operations on October 21. It included 19 people. The new body was headed by Mikhail Mishustin, his deputies were Deputy Prime Ministers Dmitry Grigorenko and Denis Manturov.

Putin explained the decision to create a coordinating council by saying that the tasks related to military operations are solved not only by the relevant law enforcement agencies, but also by the entire system of public administration.
