Russia buys “millions of artillery shells and missiles” from North Korea, The New York Times reported, citing US intelligence data. The Associated Press wrote about it.

Intelligence provided few details about the volume and timing of deliveries, as well as about the weapons themselves, the newspaper writes, pointing to the lack of an opportunity to independently verify the information. At the same time, an unnamed US government official told the newspaper that in addition to short-range missiles and artillery shells, Russia will try to purchase additional equipment from the DPRK.

RBC sent a request to the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation and the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense.

In August, The Washington Post, citing sources, wrote that Russia had received a batch of Iranian drones. Russian cargo planes with drones on board, according to American intelligence, took off from Iran on August 19. The publication claimed that we are talking about two types of drones that can carry ammunition.

After the transfer of the drones, there were failures in their work, the publication wrote, citing employees of the security service of the United States and friendly countries. “There are several errors in the system. The Russians were dissatisfied,” the interlocutor of the newspaper said.

The press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov called the publication’s article “stuffing”. The Iranian authorities have not confirmed these data, and Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that Vladimir Putin did not discuss the delivery of drones during his visit to Tehran.
