The SBU reported that “with interest” they got acquainted with the message of the FSB of Russia about the detention of a group of neo-Nazis who planned to kill him on the instructions of the SBU. The Ukrainian side called this message “fiction”.

Earlier on April 25, the FSB Public Relations Center reported on the detention of Russians, members of the terrorist group National Socialism/White Power, who were planning the murder of Solovyov on the instructions of the SBU.

During the searches, IEDs (a shortened sniper rifle), eight Molotov cocktail-type incendiary devices, six Makarov pistols, a sawn-off hunting rifle, a RGD-5 grenade, more than a thousand rounds of ammunition, drugs, fake Ukrainian passports, nationalist literature and paraphernalia were seized from the detainees.

The Russian special service noted that now members of the criminal group are confessing, the collection of evidence of their criminal activity continues within the framework of the criminal case initiated under Part 1 of Article 30 and several paragraphs of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (“Attempted murder”).

Vladimir Solovyov is the author of the programs “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” on the TV channel “Russia 1” and the program “Solovyov Live”. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, he has been supporting Russia’s actions and criticizing the Western and Kiev authorities.

On March 8, YouTube blocked Solovyov’s channels «Solovyov Live » and «Evening with Vladimir Solovyov» «for violating the terms of use of the video hosting ».

The European Commission has decided to abandon Russian gas by 2027, Austrian Minister for Energy and Climate Leonore Gevessler said in an interview with OE24. She called this task “very ambitious”. According to the minister, all EU countries will have to stop importing gas from Russia, but it will be possible to achieve the goal only if they work together.

According to Gevessler, the European Union is 80% dependent on Russian gas. “We have to free ourselves from this [addiction], because addiction makes us vulnerable to blackmail and raises prices,” the minister said.

To achieve such a result, it is necessary to perform three steps, she noted. The first is to switch to alternative energy sources and reduce gas consumption, the second is to independently produce biogas and renewable hydrogen, the third is to establish supplies from other countries. To do this, Gevessler, in particular, plans to visit Qatar.

In March, the European Commission presented the first version of the REPowerEU plan, which provides for the abandonment of Russian gas by 2030. To do this, it is planned to diversify gas supplies by increasing the volume of LNG and pipeline gas imports from other countries, increasing the production and import of renewable hydrogen and biomethane, and reducing the use of fossil fuels.

According to the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel, the share of Russian gas in the European Union accounts for 40%. He expressed hope that the EU would not have to completely stop importing oil and gas from Russia in case of further escalation in Ukraine.

At the end of March, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to convert payments for gas with unfriendly countries into rubles. The European Commission believes that the new payment scheme contradicts the European sanctions regime. The only country that allowed the payment of Russian gas in rubles is Hungary.
