The Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine by its order excluded Kiev from the list of territories of possible hostilities, the ministry said in a statement.

The mechanism for compiling such a list was approved at the end of last year. In accordance with it, “territories of active hostilities” are defined as territories through which the line of combat collision passes or bordering territories occupied by the Russian army, in which it is impossible to fully perform state functions and there is a significant threat to the life and health of the population.

The changes in the list of territories are fixed by the order of the Ministry of Integration, which came into force from the moment of publication. The Ministry of Integration approved the order in coordination with the Ministry of Defense of the proposal of the Kiev City Military Administration.

UNIAN notes that, despite this, the curfew and the requirements of martial law remain in Kiev.

On February 25, a day after the start of hostilities in Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry reported. that the Ukrainian capital is blocked from the western side. Residents of Kiev were offered by the Russian military to leave the city along the highway in the direction of Vasilkov. Russian troops were near Kiev for a month, but at the end of March, the Ministry of Defense announced a planned regrouping of troops in the Kiev and Chernihiv directions, stating that all tasks there had been completed.

Despite the fact that Russian troops left the Kiev region, air strikes continued in the region. Since autumn, there, as in other regions of Ukraine, an electricity saving regime has been introduced due to the destruction of energy infrastructure facilities. The Russian Ministry of Defense regularly reported attacks on military control systems, defense industry and facilities of the energy system of Ukraine that provide them.
