The State Duma unanimously adopted a statement “in connection with the shooting of Russian prisoners of war by Ukrainian nationalists,” calling on the parliaments of the countries of the world to condemn the crimes of the Kiev regime, to help bring the perpetrators and their patrons to justice. This is reported by the press service of the lower house of parliament.
«Deputies <…> indignantly perceived the message about another bloody crime of the Kiev regime – the shooting of Russian servicemen who were captured. The cold-blooded murderers who opened fire on the unarmed lying prisoners of war were so confident of their impunity that they videotaped their criminal actions, the document says.
The parliamentarians stressed that the deliberate murder of prisoners is a gross violation of international humanitarian law by Kiev, including the Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War of 1949. They “once again” called on Western countries to stop supporting “neo-Nazi ideology and the embodiment of its principles” in the actions of Ukraine. The document expresses confidence that the Ukrainian authorities are “pushing the world towards a global catastrophe” with their provocations and escalation of violence.
The video in question began to spread on social networks at the end of last week, on November 18. Presumably, it was taken in the village of Makeyevka in the LPR. The footage shows how people in a uniform similar to Russian military uniforms leave the house one by one and lie down on the ground. Outside, they are watched at a distance of several meters at leastThree Ukrainian soldiers with yellow armbands, including one armed with a machine gun. The surrendered men are asked which of them is an officer. Then out of the house (from where the surrenders came out) a human figure appears, shots are heard on the video, the video ends. The second video, taken from a quadrocopter, shows 12 military bodies.
The Russian Defense Ministry called the incident a “mass massacre of Ukrainian servicemen over unarmed Russian prisoners of war.” The agency accused the Ukrainian military of “deliberate and methodical murder” with direct shots to the head. The Foreign Ministry promised the guilty “deserved punishment” with the phrase “no one will escape from retribution”. Upon the fact of the incident, a case was opened under the article on the murder of two or more persons committed by a group of persons in connection with their official activities (paragraphs «a», «b» and «w » part 2 of Article 105).

“Of course, the Ukrainian authorities will investigate this video,” said Olga Stefanishina, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine. At the same time, she expressed doubt that the published footage proves Moscow’s accusations.
The UN has begun to study personnel, the office of the Secretary General of the organization called on both sides to investigate all data “on existing human rights violations, as well as to bring the perpetrators to justice”.
