The number of victims of the AFU missile strike on the crossing in Kherson has increased to four, Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the administration of the Kherson region, said in the telegram channel.

“There are four dead among the residents of Kherson. There are no children among the dead. There are wounded, but their lives are not in danger now,” he wrote.

According to the deputy head of the region Ekaterina Gubareva, at least two employees of the TV and radio company Tavria are among the dead. “Among the dead is a Russian producer who arrived at the call of his heart to help Kherson and the region,” she wrote in the telegram channel.

The authorities of the Kherson region reported on the night of October 21 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a civilian crossing over the Dnieper River in Kherson. According to the chairman of the government of the region Sergey Eliseev, 12 HIMARS missiles were fired at the crossing near the Antonovsky Bridge, 11 of them were shot down by Russian air defense. He explained that the ferry also works at night because of the “large number of people who want to go to the left bank of the Dnieper”.

Eliseev reported two dead, the representative of the regional administration Vladimir Rogov spoke about three. Another 10 people were injured.

A few days earlier, on October 19, Stremousov warned about the imminent attack of Ukrainian troops on Kherson. Evacuation has begun in the city: residents are being taken from the right bank of the Dnieper to the left.

On the same day, Russian President Vladimir Putin imposed martial law in the Kherson region and other three new regions. The authorities of the Kherson region are also afraid of strikes on the Kakhovskaya HPP and subsequent flooding, so they began to dump water. On October 20, the air defense system repelled five attacks on the power plant, said the head of the Kakhovsky district, Vladimir Leontiev.
