The British Ministry of Defense called the information untrue in an article by The Mirror, which reported that London would send Apache attack helicopters equipped with Hellfire missiles to Kiev. Sky News correspondent Deborah Haines wrote about this on Twitter.

“The Ministry of Defense says that the Daily Mirror article, which claims that the UK will send Apache attack helicopters to Ukraine, is incorrect,” the journalist wrote.

She also cited a link to the British government’s January 14 message on new assistance to Ukraine and said that British Defense Minister Ben Wallace would provide more detailed information on this on Monday.

On the eve of the British government announced that it would send Kiev 14 Challenger 2 tanks and about 30 self-propelled artillery units (ACS) AS-90. The message indicated that the training of the APU to control this technique will begin in the coming days. In general, over the past six months, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in Britain, the British government noted.

At the same time, The Mirror, citing a source in the defense sector, wrote that following the Challenger 2 tanks, London will send up to four Apache attack helicopters to Ukraine. Now the material of the publication is not available.

The interlocutor of the publication claimed that we are talking about the transfer of Apache AH64 E — the most modern version of helicopters that can destroy several targets in seconds. “Apache will change the rules of the game,” the source said.
