Russia and Ukraine are conducting a new prisoner exchange, the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said in his telegram channel.

“Another exchange with Kiev is taking place today. We are returning home 50 Russian servicemen,” he wrote, explaining that Ukraine will receive 50 of its military in exchange.

According to him, among those who will be handed over to Russia are 12 fighters from the Donetsk People’s Republic, eight from the Luhansk People’s Republic.

Over the past week, the Ministry of Defense has reported three times on the exchange of prisoners with Ukraine on November 23, 24 and 26. As a result of these three exchanges, 94 servicemen were returned to Russia. The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, said that Kiev had returned nine servicemen and three civilians. Among those who were exchanged were participants in the defense of Mariupol, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and Zmeiny Island.

In addition, on November 28, the acting head of the Luhansk People’s Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, announced the return of 23 people from Ukrainian captivity, but he did not specify when exactly this exchange took place.
