Parcels with incendiary devices have recently been sent to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, as well as to the country’s Defense Ministry and to the Torrejon de Ardos Air base. The police reported this to the National Court of the Republic, writes El Mundo. No one was injured.
A dangerous envelope for the head of government was intercepted a week ago, on November 24, during the inspection of correspondence by security officers, it was sent by regular mail.
As the publication notes, the addressee of the parcel airbase of Correjon de Ardos (Madrid province) was shown a satellite center that provides information to Ukraine.
According to the Mundo data, the bombs were “incendiary, not explosive” actions. The device worked if you pulled the fishing line.
The Spanish police consider all three incidents to be related. The sources of the publication in the department exclude that the parcels were sent by imitators.
A day earlier, two more similar packages were found. One of them was addressed to the Ukrainian Ambassador to Spain Sergey Pogoreltsev. The diplomat’s secretary handed the parcel to the commandant responsible for the security of the diplomatic mission, after which a small explosive device went off. The commandant of the Embassy of Ukraine was slightly wounded. According to El Periodico, the explosion occurred in the courtyard of the embassy.

Another bomb was delivered to the office of the Zaragoza company Instalaza, which is engaged in the production of missile systems, hand grenades and night vision devices. The products of Instalaza are exported to more than 35 countries, including Ukraine.
Margarita Robles, the Minister of Defense of Spain, told about the shipment of Armamentinstalaza Kiev in early March. She then announced the departure to Ukraine of two planes with 1,370 grenade launchers and 700,000 rounds of ammunition for rifles, submachine guns and light machine guns.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sanchez opposed sending offensive weapons to Kiev, but after the entry of Russian troops into Ukraine, he supported this step: “We must give a European response to the threat to Europe.”
Russia criticizes the supply of weapons to Ukraine by Western countries, stressing that this will not prevent Moscow from achieving its goals, but will only prolong the conflict. “Our air defense systems are cracking like nuts. Dozens have been destroyed,” President Vladimir Putin said, commenting on the decision of the US authorities to send new weapons to Ukraine.
