The enterprises of the Rostec state corporation are increasing the production of military products within the framework of the state defense order, some of them are delivered to the troops ahead of schedule. This was stated by the Director General of the state corporation Sergey Chemezov in an interview with TASS.

“Today, the enterprises of the state corporation are doing everything possible to increase the production of military products. Employees of Uralvagonzavod, Tsniitochmash, Kalashnikov Concern, High-Precision Complexes Holding, enterprises of the United Aircraft Corporation and other enterprises working on the state defense order work in three or four shifts. The Ministry of Defense regularly receives new batches of aviation equipment, armored vehicles, artillery systems, small arms, equipment and much more,” he said.

Uralvagonzavod in September prematurely shipped a batch of heavy flamethrower systems TOS-1A to the Ministry of Defense and handed over another batch of T-90M tanks, Chemezov said. In October, a batch of self-propelled howitzers “Malka” was sent to the department ahead of schedule, he added.

In addition, a new batch of Su-35S fighters produced by the aviation plant named after him was transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces in September. Gagarin in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, said the head of the state corporation. A batch of other Su-57 2022 fighters, according to him, is almost ready and will soon be handed over to the customer. The plant is also expanding production to increase the production of the Su-57, he said.

According to Chemezov, the state corporation accounts for almost half of the total state defense order. In recent years, it has been executed almost one hundred percent, the head of Rostec added.

Earlier, the Russian government approved targets to meet army needs. The day before, this was announced by the country’s Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting of the coordinating council for ensuring the needs of the Armed Forces. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on its creation on October 21. The Council was created to promptly take measures to “fulfill the target task in all key areas”. Mishustin listed among them the supply of equipment and equipment for the military, construction work and the provision of transport.

In addition, the government allowed nine departments (the Ministry of Internal Affairs, FSB, Ministry of Emergency Situations, FSO, SVR, FSIN, Rosgvardiya, Rosrezerv and the Main Directorate of Special Programs of the President of Russia) to make public procurement for the needs of the special operation under a simplified procedure.

“The solution will make it possible to purchase ammunition and other goods faster for the units participating in the SVO, promptly repair military and special equipment, as well as perform other tasks related to the defense and security of the state,” the government order said.

Mishustin instructed all nine departments to monitor the relevance of production plans, clarify them in time and adjust them taking into account incoming applications.
