A unified online voting system will be created for the next federal elections in Russia. This was stated at the CEC meeting by the head of the commission Ella Pamfilova.

“Of course, there will already be a single base at the next federal election. What has been accumulated in Moscow will not go away, it will not go away, they will continue to develop on their platform what they are doing now on various aspects of Moscow, city life. I think that what Moscow has developed will organically enter our common piggy bank, and, of course, the federal elections will be held according to general rules on a single platform, ” Pamfilova explained.

At the same time, there will be no option to “change your mind” on the federal online voting platform. The head of the CEC explained that this option was “very voluminous” on the Moscow platform. At the same time, she recalled that federal legislation does not provide for the possibility of re-voting.

During the 2021 elections, the electronic voting function was available in seven regions: Moscow, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Yaroslavl and Murmansk regions, as well as in Sevastopol.

Data for the regions, without the capital, appeared by the evening of September 19. However, the data for Moscow were released only on September 20 at about 18: 00.The head of the public headquarters for election observation in the capital, Alexey Venediktov, explained the delay by a large number of those who voted.

The head of the Moscow Department of Information Technologies, Eduard Lysenko, also attributed the delay in publishing the results in Moscow to the possibility of re-voting. “Everything was recalculated several times in the morning, just in case, due to the fact that we, unlike the whole country, had a unique function for people-delayed voting,” Lysenko said.

The results of electronic voting in Moscow were not recognized by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. The party believes that fraud was committed during the voting, and calls for investigating these reports. In addition, the Communist Party is preparing a “very detailed” lawsuit to the court, the city committee of the party reported.
