Volodin announced the Holodomor threatening Ukraine due to debts to the United States

Washington does not believe in Kiev’s victory and is delaying military actions in Ukraine by providing assistance to it, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said in his Telegram channel. At the same time, the United States is looking for ways to export grain from Ukraine, which it needs itself, instead of real help, they take away the most necessary things, arranging a surplus, the deputy noted.

“They are thinking how to get the money back as soon as possible by arranging a Holodomor in Ukraine,” he wrote. Ukraine is being credited more and more, and this, according to Volodin, does not increase the well-being of its residents.

Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, the United States has been supplying the country with military, economic and humanitarian aid. On May 9, US President Joe Biden signed the lend-Lease law for Ukraine (under the Lend-Lease program, Washington leased or transferred military equipment to Allies during World War II). The next day, the House of Representatives of Congress approved a bill on additional assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $ 40 billion.

Moscow has repeatedly accused Washington of prolonging the conflict in Ukraine by “pumping” its weapons. After the approval of the multibillion-dollar support package by the lower house of Congress, the deputy chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, said that the US assistance was explained not by love for Ukraine and not by a desire to support its own economy, but by a desire to limit Russia’s economic development and political influence.

On May 10, Biden said that the United States, together with its allies, are looking for opportunities to return 20 million tons of Ukrainian grain to the world market in order to achieve a reduction in world prices, which have soared to record values due to military actions in Ukraine.

According to the USDA, in the 2021/22 season, Ukraine accounted for 10% of world wheat exports (Russia accounted for 16%). Prices for food and fertilizers in the world against the background of the conflict in Ukraine increased in March by 12.6%, to 159.3 p. — this is a record since 1990. Earlier, Biden expressed concern about a possible shortage of food due to the events in Ukraine.
