Time magazine has published a rating of the most influential people in the world for 2021. The Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny, who is serving time in a penal colony, got into it.

The rating is divided into six categories: “Idols”, “Pioneers”, “Giants”, “Artists”, “Leaders” and “Inventors”, each of which includes from 11 to 20 people.

Navalny was included in the “Idols” category, which also included British Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, tennis player Naomi Osaka, singer Britney Spears and Japanese baseball player Sehei Otani, who plays for the Los Angeles Angels club as a pitcher.

In the summer of 2017, Time named Navalny among the most influential people on the Internet.
