Sanctions have also been imposed against the Moscow Industrial Bank (a sanitized Central Bank, which is in the process of being absorbed by Promsvyazbank) and related companies.

In total, sanctions were imposed against 33 individuals and 22 legal entities, it follows from the SDN list, which provides for the blocking of dollar assets and transactions, as well as restrictions on entry.

RBC sent a request to Sberbank and the Central Bank.

Earlier, the head of Sberbank, German Gref, and the first deputy chairman, Alexander Vedyakhin, were already under American sanctions. Gref, Vedyakhin and the now former first deputy chairman of the bank Lev Khasis also found themselves under British sanctions.

Sberbank has been under US sanctions since February 24. First, Washington added the bank to the CAPTA sanctions list, suggesting restrictions on correspondent accounts in the United States. On April 6, the United States announced blocking sanctions against the Savings Bank and gave counterparties until April 13 to terminate all relations with it.

The inclusion of Sberbank in the SDN list means a complete blocking of its assets that are in any way connected with the US financial system, as well as a ban on Americans doing business with it. An exception can be made only in the case of a permit from the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
