Atthe main case against the teacher was initiated at the request of her students. Eighth graders recorded a conversation with a teacher on a dictaphone, asking her to explain why they would not go to the competitions in Europe, where they planned to perform
In mid-March, two eighth-graders approached the teacher, who asked why they would not go to the competitions in Europe, where they planned to perform. Irina Gen explained this by Russia’s military operation in Ukraine and told about her assessment of events.
The students recorded the conversation on a dictaphone and passed the recording to law enforcement agencies. A criminal case was opened against the Gen under clause “d” of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code (dissemination of fakes about the army based on political hatred or enmity). The maximum penalty under this article is up to ten years in prison.
During the interrogation, the teacher did not admit her guilt, lawyer Alexander Fedulov told RIA Novosti.
