The head of the Georgian government, Irakli Garibashvili, said that representatives of the opposition are recruiting and sending citizens to fight in Ukraine.
“I want to remind everyone that these people, the so-called party of war and salesmen, have been trying and trying to arrange some provocations since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Unfortunately, representatives of the “war party” are taking our fellow citizens to Ukraine,” Garibashvili said at a government meeting on Monday.

Garibashvili expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, their relatives and friends and said that 33 Georgian citizens had already died in the fighting in Ukraine, “which, of course, is a tragedy for us.”
Now some politicians are trying to get “political dividends” from the deaths of Georgian citizens in Ukraine, he claims.
“A man died in the war, and some hypocrites, I have to call it that, fake politicians, corrupt politicians are trying to get some political dividends,” the head of government said and noted that “thanks to the reasonable policy of the authorities, the second front”.It was not possible to transfer to Georgia, despite numerous attempts. If the opposition was in power now, it would turn Georgia into a testing ground, Garibashvili believes.

Earlier, the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia reported that over the past three days, six Georgian volunteers who participated in the battles on the side of Kiev were killed near Artemivsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). Volunteer Romeo Parulava explained in an interview with Mtavari TV channel that a group of Georgian fighters near Artemovsk was surrounded. On the evening of December 3, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili offered condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims.
