The American leader has a real trusting relationship with the pope, and he can influence him, Macron noted.
In early October, Pope Francis called on Putin to stop fighting, and Zelensky to be open to serious proposals for peace. He asked the parties to strive to create conditions for negotiations that will lead to consensual, fair and stable solutions, and not imposed by force.
