The Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered the federal list of candidates for deputies of the State Duma, nominated by the Rodina party. This is reported in the Telegram channel of the Central Election Commission.

The chairman of the party and State Duma deputy Alexey Zhuravlev said that there were some unpleasant surprises when registering the list. “The CEC, for very controversial and dubious reasons, decided to exclude our friend, the master of sports of Russia in football Dmitry Bulykin from the list. We strongly disagree with this decision and will seek its cancellation in court, ” he said.
As explained by a member of the CEC Yevgeny Shevchenko, Bulykin had information about the ownership of bonds of eight foreign companies at the time after he signed an obligation to alienate such instruments. Thus, as Shevchenko noted, the candidate did not fulfill the obligation prescribed by law on the alienation of foreign financial instruments.
“It is not without difficulty that we make this decision, not without discussion. But in this case, consideration in court will allow you to present all the documents that can be presented and that the commission cannot accept outside the deadline. I hope that the legal service will present them in court, and Dmitry Olegovich [Bulykin] will take part in the campaign, ” said Deputy Chairman of the CEC Nikolay Bulaev (quoted by TASS).
In addition to Bulykin, the Central Election Commission excluded four more candidates from the list. We are talking about Mikhail Nazarov (Altai Republic), Mikhail Nasyrov (Volgograd Region) and Alexander Margolin (Perm Region). «[They] had criminal records, information about which they did not indicate in their statements of consent to run, ” the message says.
In addition, Rita Grigoryan (Republic of Adygea), who has Georgian citizenship, was excluded from the list.
Fedor Biryukov, a member of the bureau of the presidium of the political council of the Rodina party, told RBC that he considers the grounds for excluding Dmitry Bulykin from the list to be far-fetched, dubious and absolutely abstract. “We will seek to cancel the decision and restore Dmitry Bulykin as a candidate, we will fight for him,” Biryukov said. He added that the decision to exclude Bulykin will be appealed in court. Biryukov refused to comment on the exclusion of three more candidates due to their criminal record, information about which they did not specify.
The Central Election Commission previously certified the federal list of candidates of the “Motherland” and the list of candidates for single-mandate districts. The federal part of the list includes ten candidates. The list was headed by the party leader Alexey Zhuravlev, the top five also included Andrey Bogatov, Tatyana Bulanova, Oleg Pakholkov and Dmitry Bulykin.
Voting in the State Duma elections and in regional elections of various levels will be held from September 17 to 19. Within three days, the State Duma of the eighth convocation (225 deputies on lists and 225 on single-mandate districts), the heads of nine regions (three more will be elected by regional parliaments), as well as deputies of legislative authorities in 39 subjects of the country will be elected.
