The energy company DTEK reported on its website that three of its facilities were damaged during the day. “Two more DTEK Energy power facilities were shelled. Thus, to date, three companies of the company have already suffered. <..."As a result of the strike, significant damage was caused to the equipment of enterprises," they said, adding that no one was injured.
The administration of Kiev on its website reported that “due to a violation in the networks of DTEK Kiev networks, an emergency power outage occurred for residents of the Darnitsky district.” The reasons are being investigated.

Earlier on October 19, the head of the Vinnytsia region, Sergei Borzov, reported that the region was under rocket fire, and later wrote that there was a “hit” on an energy facility. The sounds of explosions were heard in Kiev and Ivano-Frankivsk, air defense worked in Chernihiv. At night, the head of the Kryvyi Rih administration, Alexander Vilkul, reported on the destruction of an energy facility, DTEK also talked about the night shelling of an energy facility.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian military had struck control systems and energy facilities in Ukraine, “all designated facilities were hit.”
Burshtyn TPP provides electricity to up to 5 million consumers in three regions of Western Ukraine – Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Transcarpathian. It was put into operation in 1969, with a capacity of 2,300 MW. In 2002, the Burshtyn TPP was separated from the united power system of Ukraine, it began to work as part of the Burshtyn Island;and in parallel with the unified energy system of European countries (ENTSO-E). Part of the TPP units constantly produce energy for export, but on October 11, Ukraine announced its suspension due to shelling to “stabilize its own energy system”.
