Residents of the city of Shebekino, Belgorod region, who agreed to leave, were evicted after a mortar attack, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on the social network VKontakte.
“A house-by-house inspection was carried out in those territories that are potentially dangerous zones. Those residents who agreed to leave are temporarily resettled. To date, they are based on the Old Oskol,” he wrote.
According to the head of the region, as a result of the shelling, a shopping center was destroyed, a fire broke out in it. The entrance to the city was temporarily blocked.
On Sunday, several shops and the central market will be closed in the center of Shebekino due to possible shelling.
Shebekino came under fire from Ukraine the day before. As a result, two people were killed and more than ten were injured. Almost 15 thousand people were left without electricity.
In the districts of the Belgorod region, protective structures began to be installed, Gladkov later said.
