Putin noted that he would be glad to continue constructive dialogue and joint work on the development of “comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction” between the two countries. He expressed confidence that the decisions of the congress will contribute to the successful implementation of the large-scale socio-economic tasks facing China.
“I sincerely wish you, dear friend, new successes in your responsible activities, good health and well-being,” Putin added.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has re-elected Xi Jinping to the post of General Secretary for a third five-year term. It happened on October 23. The vote was held at the first plenum of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China of the 20th convocation. It is expected that Chinese President Xi Jinping will retain his posts as head of state and Chairman of the Central Military Council of the People’s Republic of China.
