Those who love their homeland have very different faces, and a traitor can only have a traitor’s face, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council. “The main thing is to distinguish this person in time,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Security Council called the criticism of Russia during the military operation in Ukraine a betrayal. He believes that it is impossible to pursue an “anti-state line” in a difficult situation.
According to Medvedev, “it is not very right” to criticize your country while abroad. There is a big difference between those who simply left the country and those who from abroad “express an active position of disagreement with the decisions of the authorities, with the conduct of a special operation, moreover, they also take the position of the other side,” he noted, calling such behavior a betrayal.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on March 16 that the Russian people “will always be able to distinguish true patriots from scum and traitors”. He called the self-purification of society from the latter a natural and necessary process that will strengthen the country. “National traitors” are those who earn money in Russia, but live “there”, and “not even in the geographical sense of the word, but according to their thoughts, according to their slave consciousness,” the head of state clarified.
