Matvienko urged the governors not to make mistakes during mobilization

Russian governors need to ensure partial mobilization in full compliance with the declared criteria of conscription and not to make mistakes, the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said in her telegram channel.

“Once again, I ask each of you to consider that I am addressing you personally, if necessary, be in constant contact with military commissars around the clock seven days a week, in direct contact with regional ombudsmen and representatives of the public, but ensure the implementation of partial mobilization in full and absolute compliance with the announced criteria. Without a single mistake!»— wrote a politician.

According to her, information about incorrect cases of mobilization of citizens, “obviously not falling under the selection rules previously announced by the Russian military leadership,”is already appearing and is being actively discussed in society and on social networks. “It seems that somewhere they admit that it is more important to report quickly than to perform an important state task qualitatively. Such excesses are absolutely unacceptable. And I think they quite rightly cause a sharp reaction in society,” the speaker of the Federation Council stressed.

She pointed out that currently the country has an incredibly high level of patriotism, solidarity and support for the goals of a special military operation, so there should be no such cases of incorrect conscription. “People should see the responsibility of the government and feel the openness and justice of all its actions,” concluded Matvienko.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization in Russia on September 21. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that it will cover 300 thousand people, or 1% of the country’s mobilization reserve. According to the presidential decree, those called up for partial mobilization will have the status of military personnel undergoing military service under a contract, and will receive payments and social guarantees as military personnel.

The Ministry of Defense explained that privates and sergeants up to 35 years old, junior officers up to 50 years old, seniors up to 55 years old are subject to partial mobilization. One of the main factors for conscription, the agency calls the presence of combat experience in the conscripts from the reserve. The postponement is provided for some employees of high-tech industries, banks and the media, as well as students of universities and colleges.
