She admitted mistakes in economic policy and stated that she “could not justify the mandate of trust, thanks to which she was elected by the Conservative Party.”
As Prime Minister Truss was criticized for the draft budget for next year, after the announcement of which the financial and mortgage markets collapsed in Britain. The prime minister was also criticized because of her intention to reduce taxes and at the same time weaken the tax obligations of the wealthiest Britons, after which the yield of five-year government bonds rose to the maximum level.
The election of a new prime minister and party leader will be held on October 28, on the same day the results will be announced. The official nomination procedure will be held on October 24.

Johnson’s likely participation in the election was reported earlier by the Times newspaper. The publication notes that the former prime minister considers this a matter of “national interests”, but so far he is “probing the ground”.
British bookmakers believe that Johnson and Sunak may become the most likely leaders in the elections.
