In St. Petersburg, the deputy of the Legislative Assembly Maxim Reznik was detained. The parliamentarian was suspected of drug trafficking. This was reported in the city department of the Investigative Committee.

Earlier it became known that the apartment of the mother, as well as at the dacha of the deputy, who represents the Party of Growth in parliament, were searched. Investigative actions in the country house of the deputy took place in the case of drugs, in which in March a distant relative of the wife of Reznik Ivan Dorofeev was arrested.

As Fontanka wrote, on March 9, Reznik stopped by Dorofeev’s house, according to him, to discuss family issues, to discuss the fire at the dacha and the upcoming operation of his stepfather. On the way out of the apartment, he was confronted by masked security forces. They asked him to return, explaining that they intended to conduct a search. On April 20, the day before the rally in support of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Reznik wrote in his Telegram channel that he was threatened by unknown people. They “persistently asked to get in the car” and demanded not to support the protest action: “Refuse”you will not become a witness, but a defendant in the “drug case”. And sit down. Reznik became a member of the St. Petersburg Parliament in December 2011. At first, he represented the party “Yabloko”, the regional branch of which he headed. In 2012, after a conflict, he was expelled from the party. In 2016, he was elected on the list of the Party of Growth. In the upcoming legislative elections, he planned to run again from “Apple”.
