The Greek secret services were engaged in wiretapping not only opponents of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, but also his supporters. This is reported by the Documento newspaper.
Earlier, the newspaper wrote that Mitsotakis, shortly after taking office, instructed the country’s special services to listen to potential political opponents. According to the publication, there are 33 surnames in the “Mitsotakis list”. Among them is former Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
On November 12, it became known that Mitsotakis’ supporters were also instructed to eavesdrop. Among them are members of the country’s cabinet of Ministers, as well as Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou. The newspaper’s sources also write that the wife of Prime Minister Mareva Mitsotakis is also on the list of those being listened to.

Mitsotakis heads the New Democracy party. He has been a member of the Greek Parliament since 2004. In 2019, after his party’s election victory, Mitsotakis became Prime Minister of Greece.
