Deputat Delimkhanov reported on fraudsters who extorted money for a special operation on his behalf. The attackers report that I am allegedly on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, followed by a dialogue that ends with a request to transfer a certain amount of money to the needs of a special military operation,” the Telegram channel quotes Delimkhanov. The deputy said that he had written a statement on the attackers. “I ask citizens who have received such a message to contact me directly or to contact my assistants and report such cases. A corresponding statement has already been sent to law enforcement agencies,” he noted.
Russia has been conducting a military operation in Ukraine since February 24. In mid-March, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that Delimkhanov “did not sit on the sidelines” and arrived in the war zone. Kadyrov later said that Delimkhanov led an “assault operation” to take the Azovstal plant (later the president of Russia ordered to cancel the assault and block the enterprise).
At the end of April, President Vladimir Putin awarded Delimkhanov the title of Hero of Russia for his courage and heroism shown during a special operation in the territories of the DPR, LPR and Ukraine.
In early April, the State Duma Commission on regulations and ensuring the activities of the State Duma nominated Delimkhanov to the post of first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption. The corresponding resolution was adopted by the State Duma on June 7, it follows from the database of the legislative body.
