This year, President Vladimir Putin’s direct line with citizens will be held on June 30, the Kremlin’s press service reports.

The program will start at 12: 00 Moscow time, and will be broadcast by the channels “First”, “Russia 1”, “Russia 24”, NTV, OTR, “Mir”, as well as radio stations “Mayak”, “Vesti FM” and “Radio of Russia”.

“The head of state will freely answer questions of interest to the citizens of the country,” the message says. They can be set through the application “Moscow” to Putin, the program’s website moskva-putinu.ru (moscow to Putin.Russian Federation), SMS messages to the number 0 & ndash;40 & ndash;40 and by phone 8 & ndash;800 & ndash;200 & ndash;40 & ndash;40, as well as in the program groups in social networks & laquo; VKontakte & raquo; and« Odnoklassniki & raquo;. Questions will be accepted from June 20 until the end of the program.

In early June, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that preparations for the direct line had begun. Then he did not name the date of the event, promising that it will be known later.

For the first time, a direct line with Putin was held in 2001. Since then, every year, except for 2004, 2012 and 2020, he has communicated with Russians in this format.In 2008 & ndash;2011, when Putin served as Prime Minister, the program was called “Direct conversation with Vladimir Putin”.

Last year, the event in the traditional format was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but,as Peskov reported, “some elements of it” were added to Putin’s big press conference, which was held in December. Also during the year, the president made several televised addresses to the Russians.
