The family of the ex-judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya, Saydi Yangulbayev, may be involved in organizing an attack on a former Chechen security official in Turkey, therefore, if they resist, they should be “destroyed” as accomplices of terrorists. This was announced by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, on January 20, employees of the Chechen Interior Ministry detained and took the wife of ex-judge Zarema Musayeva from Nizhny Novgorod to Grozny. As the Minister of Communications of the Republic Akhmed Dudayev noted, the woman was a witness in the fraud case, but did not respond to the investigator’s demands to appear at her place of residence.

“It’s enough that the Yangulbayevs call for terrorism and extremism and support it. It was they who, according to correspondence leaked to the Network by third parties, organized an attack in Turkey on a former law enforcement officer from the Czech Republic. In this correspondence, the Yangulbayevs themselves admit that this attack was committed not without their participation and, judging by the tone, they are quite proud of it,” Kadyrov said.

According to him, it follows from the same files that the Yangulbaevs supported terrorist groups with their whole family and planned to take part in the organization of an entire network. “Based on this, I believe that they should be detained, as required by law, and punished. And if they resist, then destroy them as accomplices of terrorists, who they are,” the head of Chechnya added.

In addition, Kadyrov stated that there is an evidence base in this case, and “none of the Yangulbayevs denies this.” “This is my opinion, of which I am firmly convinced. Nua residents of the Chechen Republic, as I said earlier, are so outraged by the statements of the Yangulbayevs addressed to the whole people that, I feel, they will not stand on ceremony with them when they meet. <..."So let the Yangulbayevs and their defenders perceive my words not as a threat, but as a deserved punishment," Kadyrov concluded.

In response to Kadyrov’s statement, the son of ex-judge Abubakar Yangulbayev told RBC that his accusations are based only on words that are not supported by facts. “About beating up an employee. Judging by the information posted by TG channels, he was caught by Chechens who emigrated to Turkey and committed lynching for his actions as an employee. I don’t support violence here or there, and I expressed my negative attitude to such actions in a narrow family circle,” he said.

In addition, Yangulbayev urged Kadyrov not to distract the attention of society and not to hold his mother hostage.

On January 20, the Committee against Torture (the legal entity of the organization was recognized as foreign agents, now it operates without registration) reported the abduction of Zarema Musayeva by armed men who introduced themselves as law enforcement officers of Chechnya. At the same time, the ex-judge himself could not be detained, since he has immunity. Human rights activists then pointed out that the woman was most likely taken from Nizhny Novgorod to the Chechen Republic.

On January 21, Kadyrov confirmed that the detained woman had been taken to Grozny, but noted that already in Grozny she “attacked a police officer and almost deprived him of his eye” and “thereby she had already earned herself an article for a real term of imprisonment”. According to him, “Yangulbayev was sent three times before yesterday’s incidentthe summons », and Musayeva should have come to the investigator, and not «bring the situation to the limit ». The head of the region indicated that the family of the ex-judge is waiting for a place either in prison or underground. He also expressed bewilderment that Saidi Yangulbayev has not yet been deprived of the status of a judge, and called on the Supreme Court of Russia to exclude him from the ranks of judges.

On the same day, CHGTRK “Grozny” published a video on Instragram in which Musayeva, who has diabetes, in a conversation with the Commissioner for Human Rights in Chechnya, Mansur Soltaev, says that she was given the necessary medications and that violence was not used against her. Later, the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, Tatiana Moskalkova, asked the Prosecutor of Chechnya, Sharpuddi Abdul-Kadyrov, to check the situation with Musayeva’s detention. She clarified that it was necessary to find out whether the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Chechnya had permission to operate on the territory of Nizhny Novgorod and whether Musayev received a summons to come to the investigator for questioning.

On January 22, the Minister of the Chechen Republic for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information, Ahmed Dudayev, told RBC that the special attention of the press and human rights activists to the case of the arrest of the ex-judge’s wife is related to the nationality of the police officers who carried out the detention. He also stressed that Musayeva was detained within the framework of the law, because she did not respond to the investigator’s summons to appear at her place of residence as a witness in a fraud case.
