Sofya Sapieha's father recorded an appeal to Lukashenko

“Alexander Grigoryevich, as the father of the father, I ask for a personal meeting and I am ready to give all the necessary guarantees that my daughter will no longer be involved in illegal actions. In this appeal, I ask the governor of the Primorsky Territory to help organize a personal meeting with President Lukashenko, perhaps I will be able to convince him to pardon my daughter, do not break her fate, she is just a little girl who is just starting to live, ” said Andrei Sapega.

On June 11, the governor of Primorye, Oleg Kozhemyako, announced that he had invited Lukashenko to visit the region again (Lukashenko came to the Russian Far East in March). “We gave an invitation, and Alexander Grigorievich responded positively. But the president always has time, let’s say, a difficult question. The plane of the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair, which was flying from Athens to Vilnius, was forced to land in Minsk on May 23 due to a report of explosives on board received from Belarusian dispatchers. On board with other passengers was Roman Protasevich, a blogger and journalist, ex-editor-in-chief of the Telegram channel Nexta, and his girlfriend Sofia Sapega. The Belarusian authorities accuse Protasevich of extremism because of his participation in the coverage of the protests that took place in the country.
