President Vladimir Putin instructed to create corruption prevention units in the new territories of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions by June 2023. The decree is posted on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“By June 1, 2023, the heads of federal executive authorities should ensure the creation of units for the prevention of corruption and other offenses in their territorial bodies located in the territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Luhansk People’s Republic, the Zaporozhye Region and the Kherson Region, or identify officials responsible for the prevention of such offenses”,— the document says.
He also instructed to form commissions on compliance with the requirements for the official conduct of federal civil servants and the settlement of conflicts of interest.
According to the annex to the document, those who have Ukrainian citizenship will be able to hold positions in the authorities in the new Russian regions, but only when submitting an application for disagreement to be a citizen of Ukraine.
The DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions became part of Russia on September 30 following the results of referendums.
