“I am in touch with the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Viktor Petrovich Goremykin. He is now in close proximity to the area of the SVO. I brought to him the problematic issues coming from our servicemen and their relatives. He promised to sort it out,” the head of the region said.
According to Khovalyg, he also discussed the situation with the DPR Prime Minister Vitaly Khotsenko. “We managed to clarify some points, but it’s premature to draw final conclusions,” he said.
The head of the region said that representatives of Tuva will arrive in the DPR in the near future and will get acquainted with the situation on the spot.
A video message in Tuvan from a group of mobilized from Tuva appeared on social networks on February 5. In it, they said that in the DPR they faced beatings and threats from representatives of the People’s Militia of the DPR. In addition, they complained that they were still not assigned to a specific military unit. The authorities of Tuva called the situation egregious. The incident was put under control by the ex-head of the region and vice-speaker of the State Duma Sholban Kara-ool.
