The head of Tuva, Vladislav Khovalyg, said that the Ministry of Defense agreed to transfer the mobilized from the DPR to the 55th brigade after complaints.
“I was informed that the Ministry of Defense reacted positively to the issue of transferring our mobilized from the DPR to the 55th brigade,” he wrote in the telegram channel.
The Head of the Republic recalled that the bulk of those mobilized from Tuva serve in the 55th brigade and since the end of October have successfully completed the tasks of the military operation in Ukraine.
“According to the existing requirements, the transition to the location of another military unit is not a quick matter, but I hope for an operational solution,” Khovalyg added.
Last week, a video message in the Tuvan language of a group of mobilized from Tuva appeared on social networks. The servicemen complained of beatings and threats from representatives of the People’s militia of the DPR, and also said that they were not assigned to any military unit, which makes it difficult to hospitalize the wounded. The authors of the video message asked the head of Tuva and the deputy speaker of the State Duma, the former head of the republic Sholban Kara-ool for help.
After the appearance of this appeal, Khovalyg phoned the head of the DPR government, Vitaly Khotsenko, and asked “to check the legality of the actions of the people mentioned in the video message.” In addition, he sent his representatives there. The head of the republic said that he was preparing an appeal to the Ministry of Defense, calling the incident an egregious case discrediting the situation of the mobilized.
